Location: Javanrood, Zalan, Rijab and Salaas Babajani cities

Objective: To promote the power of reading and education amongst children

Target group: children, adolescents and their families

Number of target group: 2,300 people collectively

Major activities: Implementing the Read with Me program and establishing children’s public libraries for children and adolescents; Promoting a strong reading culture; Holding reading sessions; Teaching reading aloud along with vocal training; Holding creativity classes

 

Financial Assistance for Farhang School in Tehran

 

Project partner: Farhang Educational Complex

Start time: December 2016

Location: Abdol Abad area in the south of Tehran

Objective: To help immigrant children with difficult economic conditions continue their educational journeys

Target group: Female and male students in primary and secondary grade school

Number of target group: 230 Afghan students

Major activities: Providing financial assistance for the academic year for students in need, especially for Afghan immigrant students; Conducting academic and extracurricular courses such as language and computer classes; Holding book reading sessions; Organizing special workshops such as classes for communication and interaction with students 

 

Educational Program - Support for Children Living in Brick Kilns in Mahmoudabad

Location: South of Tehran (Mahmoudabad brick kilns)

Objective: Educate children and provide social support

Target group: Children living in brick kilns in Mahmudabad

Number of target group: 500 students

Major activities: Holding entertainment programs for students; Organizing classes and workshops; Preparing creative classes; Distributing personal hygiene kits; Providing counseling and other support resources

 

Individual and Social Development for Children and Youth in Shirabad – Zahedan

Objective: Youth empowerment through the power of education and reading

Target group: Educationally disadvantaged students in Shirabad-Zahedan

Number of target group: 270 students

Major activities: Promoting the power of reading; Teaching students; Implementing creative reading methods; Empowering students and teachers through a social development plan; Enhancing basic literacy in the region

 

Implementing ‘Read with Me’ Program and Teaching Basic Literacy in Qeshm Island

Objective: To empower children by promoting reading and strengthening basic literacy

Target group: Children and educators of 60 kindergartens on Qeshm Island

Number of target group: 500 teachers and students ages 15-25

Major activities: Promoting reading, education and empowerment of children; Empowerment of district educators in implementing creative education and strengthening basic literacy; Strengthening basic literacy

 

Reinforcing and Enhancing Basic Literacy in Educationally Disadvantaged Children in Shirabad - Zahedan

Objective: To design a strategic plan to enhance the quality of education schools in Rostam city

Target group: Students of Rostam city

Major activities: Conducting research with the aim of identifying the current state of education; Identifying the factors affecting the education process of students from elementary to high school; Recognizing the incentives of education development in Rostam city; Providing a collaborative and cross-sectoral platform for development education enhancement in Rostam city; Preparing workshops with and for students

Objective: To provide a standard, student-friendly and safe environment to be able to provide the students top quality education

Major activities: Properly equipping educational spaces to create a favorable academic environment for students

 

Equipping the Premises of Mehr Social and Cultural Development Center in Rostam City

Objective: Provision of educational facilities to provide academic opportunities and empowerment of disadvantaged children

Target group: Disadvantaged children in Rostam and Mamasani cities

Number of target group: 500 people

Major activities: Equipping the building with the facilities needed for the Center’s activities to hold training classes; Enabling teachers to conduct academic activities in favorable environments; Providing educational support and resources for students in need

 

Diliteracy

Project partner: Diliteracy

Start time: March 2021

Location: Farsi-speaking countries including Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, along with the population of Farsi-speaking children around the world

Objective: To irradicate illiteracy in highly impoverished areas of Iran while empowering underprivileged and special needs children in basic education, using networks and digital devices to facilitate the role

Target group: Farsi-speaking youth

Major activities: Bridging the digital and literacy divide for underprivileged and special needs students; Promoting the power of reading, writing and math skills with the help of technological tools; Making basic literacy software available for underprivileged youth in disadvantaged areas and giving them access to tools that they have never used before to help elevate their educational experience; Translating and producing content for the software for educators, children and adults in the family to use; Creating a network for educators and educational institutions to harness the power and advantages of digital tools in the educational environment for disadvantaged students to create a more equal future
