Once a child is matched with a sponsor, KCIS spins a cocoon of support and protection around that child throughout his/her education. Donations provided by sponsors pay for any thing that is needed for the child to stay in school instead of dropping out to support his/her family’s financial needs. If desired, sponsors can also establish a one-on-one relationship with the child they have chosen to sponsor.

Sponsorship costs $600 for a full year ($50 per month or $1.65 per day). For this nominal amount, your sponsored student will be fully supported throughout the calendar year, receiving the following benefits:

• Annual Back to School gift cards
• Annual Nowruz gift cards
• Extracurricular programs such as:
  • Language classes
  • Computer classes
  • Art/music and sports classes

Each student is assigned a supervisor, who meets with the student and the family throughout the year to oversee the student’s progress by checking his/her report cards and to address any potential hinderances to the student’s academic success. The supervisor also makes sure that the money dispensed to the student is only spent to remove any obstacles that would prevent the student from staying and succeeding in school.
