Baa Man Bekhaan - Rijab, Kermanshah
With the financial support it received from AYDM, “Ba Man Bekhaan” project was able to make great strides in the earthquake stricken region of kermanshah.
A prefab structure (Conex), purchased by AYDM, was set up and transformed into a children’s library. This library currently serves the local schools in Rijab region, as well as those of neighboring villages. The teachers were well equipped by the “Ba man Bekhaan” team through a series of training workshops, e.g. reading aloud strategies, recognizing quality books, familiarity with children’s literature, and arts and crafts projects in connection with books, all financed by KCIS.
This is a collaborative project carried out with the help of and bringing together the townspeople of all ages, touching the lives of more than 500 kids and benefiting many more in the future. Children of this underprivileged region can now look forward to fun-filled reading sessions that fill their heart with joy and hope, and their mind with knowledge and imagination.
